Traffic sources

  • Traffic from Search Engines: The section of website visitors who got to our site using Google or other search engines.
  • Direct traffic: The visitors of the website that got to the site using bookmarks or typing the URL in their browsers.
  • Referring sites: The visitors of the website that got to the site by clicking links on different websites.

Tree diagram of campaigns

The slides of the e-detailing presentations can be visualized on a tree diagram. Within the „mandatory elements”, the milestone slides there are several options to choose from opening new themes and information segments. It can be monitored which slides are opened by a viewer and the sequence of the slides viewed can be determined as well.

UV

A relatively easy to interpret data that measures web traffic. It shows how many users viewed our page. In practice the number of visitors that can be differentiated (for example by their IP addresses). If someone is regularly visiting the same website from the same computer this user is going to be considered a unique visitor.

Visit

The visit refers to the number of separate visits by the users, regardless of how many pages they have viewed. To measure visits it is crucial to identify what we count as a new visit or enter to our site. The general rule is that if a visitor leaves the page and returns only more than 30 minutes later the visit is considered a new one. This means that even if a user looks through several parts of our site, clicks on internal links and spends hours on our page but never actually leaves it their visit is considered only as one.

Web 2.0

The term of Web 2.0 refers to all social online services that focus on communities, creating content together, and sharing content that users find interesting. When it comes to Web 2.0 we can’t clearly separate the role of providers and users. The providers in Web 2.0 only contribute the framework for the different services, the content is developed and uploaded by the users. In Web 2.0 there is a greater emphasis on interactivity, the focus is on sharing content and comments between users.

Web address/URL

An address or URL of a website is the standard identifier of the resources of the page, that could include text, images and other content. URL is short for “Uniform Resource Locator”.

Wikis

Online storage of information operating with the system called wiki. The information can be openly distributed, edited. Easy-to-use databases created by users, who can easily add content or edit previous posts.
