As part of the project, we developed a digital detailing solution designed to support consistent, interactive professional communication during face-to-face visits with general practitioners, while enabling the structured collection and real-time analysis of data generated during the visits.
The interactive tablet-based presentations focused on the harm reduction potential of electronic cigarettes and reducing the burden associated with smoking. In addition to the presentation content, the system included questions, allowing physicians’ responses to be recorded directly during the visit.
We also developed a dedicated dashboard for the campaign, enabling the client to monitor visit results in real time. The system supports multiple visit cycles: data can be filtered by visit cycle, medical representative, county and date range, making it possible to track not only current results but also changes between individual campaign periods.
Key features
- Interactive digital detailing presentations – professional content optimised for face-to-face, tablet-based visits.
- Question and response tracking – physicians’ answers to questions embedded in the presentation are recorded directly in the system.
- Demographic data visualisation – including geographical distribution, gender, age and years in practice.
- Real-time dashboard – visit data and responses to questions can be continuously monitored and filtered according to different criteria.
- Multiple visit cycle management – results from individual campaign periods can be analysed separately.
- Visit experience reporting – following each meeting, the medical representative can evaluate and document their experience of the visit.
- Consent collection – required consents can be captured directly as part of the digital detailing process and their status can also be monitored on the dashboard.
- Role-based access control – dashboard content and functionality can be tailored to different user roles and permission levels.
Benefits of the system
One of the key advantages of the solution is that it integrates face-to-face visits, professional content delivery and data collection within a single system. Responses recorded during the visit are transferred directly to the back-end system, eliminating the need for subsequent manual data processing.
The dashboard enables campaign results to be analysed while the campaign is still running, providing insight into the demographic profile of the physicians reached, the distribution of responses to individual questions and the experiences recorded by medical representatives.
The project demonstrates how traditional face-to-face detailing can be transformed into a data-driven, measurable and traceable communication process, while retaining the benefits of personal interaction and immediate dialogue.
